Life Skills For Kids

As in November 2013 the work on creating the Life Skills offered in this site is in full swing. The site will cover less familiar skills such as Meaning attribution, confrontational ability and Tolerance to Ambiguous along with more common knowledge skills such as persistence and delaying gratifications.

You are kindly invited to sign in – at our home page – so we can add you to our mailing list and send you our free guide Life Skills 101: Preparing Your Child For Life as well as notifications when new material gets uploaded to the site. The material on this site is designed for kids aged 2 – 14. Why 2? Because that’s the age where reflexive ability arises – the creation of an ‘I’, of a self. Why 14? Honestly, not because teens don’t need guidance at the age of 14 (that’s actually the age they need it the most). Rather, it is because it is at this age that they are on ‘the dark side of the moon’ – engaged in their own matters, preoccupied in themselves and let’s admit it, it’s the age their friends become the most important thing for them, eclipsing our roles. Of course, like any generalization, the last one might not apply to you.

Every child varies and so it is up to you to discern which material to use for your child. We believe that life in general and learning in particular should be FUN. This keyword was in our minds when developing the material for this site. We also believe that the material will best permeate if delivered indirectly – not through long speeches and dialogues but rather through examples, games and simulations. Again, we kept this in mind when working on the material this site has to offer.
